What is the goal of Rarie Music?
The whole idea about Rarie Music is supporting music. Tons of new producers are making great tracks, remixes, bootlegs, edits & mush ups and they don’t have the way to distribute they art. We can give them a hand to get their music farther, by releasing the music for free, instead of waiting to get a deal into a big label. All this for the love of music, love of sharing and supporting the artist..
Why for free?
In 10 years that I have made music I haven't get fair deals. Labels treat you not very well if you are not a big seller, and when you finally sign it over a record label, it becomes old before they put it out. Then if you don’t sale enough copies you do not get paid, and if you sale 200 copies at 2 dollars each. You would get almost nothing, because between the store, distribution, who gets most of those 2 dollars, and finally the label, that keeps half of royalties. You end up getting nothing out from does 2 dollars. Besides this you would never really know how many copies were sold. Finally there are all this people steeling music and distributing it for free on blogs.
How are we doing this?
We are going to be promoting each release on all mayor websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, MixCloud and with our iTunes podcast. We would promote the label on websites, magazines and, in the same way, keep sending the music to promo pools and direct to dj’s. We would create an email database where everybody can subscribe to get the music direct on their emails the day is out. And we would invite artists to the podcast to play some of the unreleased promoted material.
What style would Rarie Music would be?
The label would have a house, deep house, techouse, lowtempo sound.How often are we getting releases?We would have a release every 2 weeks.
