  • Green behind the ears Now's the time for music with attitude: The imprint label Greenfiction does provide party sound, sure, but it's part of a bigger notion, too. Well produced music that also creates and conveys contents beyond partying and consumption.But if you think we're talking about a danceable equivalent to a new burgeoning eco movement, you don't see the wood for the trees. No, Greenfiction is not at all an eco-label for jute bag dancers, nor is it alternative wise guys' music preaching a more conscious approach towards the environment. At the end of the day it all comes down to just one thing: good and honest music. The label is neither a stomping ground for eco-activists nor is it trying to stipulate whether one shall use plastic bags, turn down the heating or refrain from throwing away leftovers. It simply wants to sell music, the quality of which is and will remain the one decisive purchasing point. You can't and shan't deduce that it reflects a conscious treatment of nature and the resources that surround us. It simply is phat sound made of good House, driving Techno and a pinch of electronic beats. Just the way electronic music is supposed to be without sounding too trancy or ravy, though. The label is open to anyone whose attitude goes along with its philosophy: timeless tracks, which, however, reflect the spirit of our times characterized by environmental disasters. Few artists, a lot of attitude, even more music. There is a musical fingerprint in mature releases, going way beyond the surface. The label itself is an expression of personal attitude: Sound on the outside, green on the inside. As the newborn label grows, we will plant 'label trees' in public places, embellishing our environment in accordance with our label's flourishing, if they let us.So whenever flowers, shrubs and trees suddenly pop up in unusual places, Greenfiction will be around.
