Founded by Jon AD upon returning to San Francisco from the midwest and a stint as a writer/reviewer for Massive Magazine, LoSonoFono (Or LSF Records) was founded as an outlet for unrepresented, composition based House music. Release one, by Andy Caldwell, was just such a departure, as Andy Calwell was known strictly as a member of the Downtempo group Solstice at the time. The releases that have followed have expanded upon the theme, featuring such notables as The Solid Gold Playaz, DJ Rasoul, Richie Heller and Alexi Delano. in Late 2002 LoSonoFono relocated to Portland, Oregon, where it carries on presently, and continues to release challenging and undiluted house music from around the world.
