About

  • Solid Grooves, the record label, was started in 1995 by the same named store (its owners being Brandon Yee and Harry Who?) and Lucas Rodenbush with E.B.E. Audio - The Energy E.P. as a first release. Soon to follow would be a string of success for the label and its artists. In 1997, Solid Grooves began to receive a considerable amount of ink and was easily confused by writers and DJs with Aubrey's UK-based label Solid Groove. To preserve the integrity of the label's developing catalog, the name was changed to Solid Trax, named after the well-received house release by Lucas Rodenbush, 'Solid Trax Vol. 1'. Since then, the label has presented a series of releases by E.B.E., Joshua of Circulation fame, Mattski, The Rhythmist of netlabel Dobox and has recently welcomed Kit Clayton, Chris Jackson, Dabecy, Arturo Garces, and Alonso Ordoñez to the roster. Solid Trax, after disbanding from the merchant establishment following its change of ownership, has found a new home online. Soon to come are a number of releases from some of House and Techno music's finest talents. Stay tuned!
