About

  • Launched in the spring of 2009, Hub City Music has become a recognizable name in the underground house scene, bringing together both well-known talent, and new, up and coming artists. In 2009, Brandon Bass & Sean Michaels started Hub City Music, located in Denver, Colorado. Their first release was entitled “Lucky Number 7 EP” produced by Late Night Society. This first release was the perfect launch for the label, and was charted by Inland Knights, among others. The idea for the label was simple, to release quality house music, be it funky, deep, groovy, or techy. Since 2009 Hub City has had numerous releases from the likes of Funk Mediterraneo & Alex Augello, Fergus, Chemars, Mark & Stevens, and remixes by Rescue, Uriah West, Freaky Behaviour, J Caprice and Brandon & Sean’s guise, Freeware. Having many influences, including jazz, disco, funk, early industrial music, techno, and the many shades of house music, Brandon and Sean try to reflect their diversity in each release Hub City Music delivers. Each of them have more than 15 years apiece in the house music,/dj community, so you can expect that they have been exposed to a wide range of styles and sounds through the years. This experience & influence pushes Hub City Music to bring a range of styles to each release, while sticking firmly to the house music world. Through 2010 Hub City’s main focus has been on deep & funky house music. As the label moves into 2011, Brandon and Sean look to keep that focus while putting an emphasis on the deeper side of house. Hub City is always looking for fresh, innovative music, so don’t hesitate to drop us a demo.
