Red Shield Records is a label based out of Puerto Rico that aims to deliver quality electronic music of various forms to music enthusiasts worldwide. The artist roster boosts many of the island’s finest producers and names in the scene, plus a handful of newcomers and their contemporaries from abroad. It was founded by Juan Mauricio Rojas(Squadra, Vanguardia Sonora, Ro-Mal),who also runs Amalgama Records, with the intention of showcasing the current sounds of the Puerto Rican underground and music that doesn’t fit under the Amalgama brand. Upcoming releases are already lined up for Josh Montalvo, Carlos Lopez, Luigi Rodriguez, Zboys, Max R, Emiliano, Nathan Vice, Rey Santiago, Monsanto and other local heavy hitters.
