Bizarre Rituals are a party crew and label, all Devon residents (and friends who escaped to the West to join the fun). Together we throw discos, produce records and do various other creative projects in art and film. We started running parties to fund record releases and create a local scene in the ‘shire. Inspired by the 80’s loft disco scene we assembled around the ramshackle philosophy that where the dance floor was should always be the centre of the room. The parties were really fun, we kept going. It’s about the vibe of the thing, the atmosphere in the room. To paraphrase Terrance MacKenna; “this is about you, your scene, your friends, your place in the universe.”
