- Jennifer Cardini is one of those rare DJs that has made her reputation almost solely on the basis of her skills behind the decks. How else do you explain a residency at one of Europe's premiere nightclubs (Rex), a mix CD on one of its most respected labels (Kompakt) and a passport littered with stamps from around the world? Cardini spent her teenage years raving in France, and the next decade building a name for herself in the clubs of Paris, but nowadays she makes her home in Cologne. It's there that she's focused her thoughts on production and her fledgling imprint Correspondant. We sat down with Cardini earlier this month to talk about this, as well as her favorite hobby—making catwalk-friendly mixes for a fashion designer friend.
