  • Last year the struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights in Poland became international news during Pride in Białystok, where peaceful activists were confronted with far-right violence. The events led to fierce online debate in electronic music circles, which ultimately led to the cancellation of a techno festival whose statements after the events caused widespread condemnation. In the face of propaganda from both church and state, the threat of violence from the right remains, compelling activists to develop strategies to protect their communities. This panel recorded live at Polish festival Unsound last year attempts to offer paths to navigate this conflict. Avtomat from Oramics, Miko Czerwiński from Queerowy Maj, and Unsound's Paulina Żaczek took part in the discussion, which was moderated by Resident Advisor contributor Maya-Roisin Slater.
