- RA goes underground with the Canadian loop lover.
- It's hard to get a straight answer out of Colin de la Plante. His responses begin normally enough, but then he just starts to wander off on a different path entirely. His music as The Mole, however, is almost the complete opposite. Addicted to seeing what happens when something is repeated over and over and over again, de la Plante is in love with highly focused repetition. (In 2008, after the release of As High as the Sky, many fell in love with it too.) His past in the British Columbia underground along with his friends in Cobblestone Jazz (a group he sometimes records with) may offer some clues as to where all this comes from. The same goes for his time spent soaking up the scene in Montreal as it started to take off in the early '00s. But the answer probably won't be found in this particular interview. As we said, de la Plante tends to get sidetracked (and so does his microphone). Nonetheless, it's one of our favorite Exchanges yet.
