  • It's no secret that clubbing has a deep relationship with drug consumption. Despite being an integral part of the culture, the topic remains a delicate one to society at large, where legal frameworks in different countries greatly alter what is and isn't possible when it comes to education and harm reduction. This issue provided the framework for the latest edition of The Amplified Kitchen, ://about blank's series of talks supported by Musicboard Berlin. The discussion was moderated by Deirdre Runan, a writer and researcher on drug safety. She was joined by Manuela Schulz, a key figure in Chillout e.V. Potsdam, an organisation providing consultation and information on drugs, Dr Henrik Jungaberle from the MIND European Foundation For Psychedelic Science, and Jonathan Gregory, a representative from manCheck Berlin, a group providing on-site assistance for gay men on issues of drug and sexual health. Together they discuss a set of strategies for better managing drug use in party contexts, pitching interesting new ideas to promoters, politicians and ravers alike.
