  • Simian Mobile Disco are one of the more slippery acts in electronic music. Some may know them for their big room hits like "Hustler," while others may remember their collaborations with singers like Beth Ditto and Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor on their pop-oriented Temporary Pleasures full-length. The duo followed that one up, however, with a collection of 12-inches aimed directly at the dance floor called Delicacies that were released with little fanfare, and their highly accomplished DJ mixes are just as liable to feature Conrad Schnitzler and Tomita as they are Paul Woolford and Peter Van Hoesen. To put it simply, they love electronic music in all its forms, and that's why we were pleased to be able to speak to them as part of our ongoing Live RA Exchange series at this year's Sonar festival in Barcelona.
