From Daft Punk to Pépé Bradock to DJ Deep, Paris has long been an essential force in dance music. And yet, a few years ago, Le Monde and The New York Times declared its nightlife to be all but dead. Since then, though, the French capital's got its groove back, thanks to a new generation of DJs and promoters who have given the city what might be its best clubbing era ever. With each weekend seeming to offer more parties than the one before it, Paris and its suburbs are currently among Europe's most exciting hotspots for electronic music.
