Ladies and gents, here we have James Trystan (Bedrock/Defected Records, UK) making a comeback on the Asian shores ! Supported by our other guests- Click to Klick and our very own resident Otherkind, we know this Sweatbox is going to be exciting!
We say exciting due to the pick of sound we are about to experience so we made our pick from the melodic and proggy crew- Click 2 Klick, alongside Otherkind to make sure we have all the bases covered as this is undoubtedly, an all night dancing scenario.
If you are not yet familiar with Click 2 Klick, you will surely enjoy Adam's progressive and deep melodies coupled up with Khairul's techy drive. They play at pretty much any non-mainstream party around Kuala Lumpur, delighting us all with their breezy sound and the happy vibes they create through their music display.
This year has seen an impressive blitzkrieg of activity from the rejuvenated Trystan. He’s been busy in the studio concocting a new and revitalized, deeper synth-driven sound; one layered with subtle emotive riffs and tight, snarling baselines, inspired by a recent globe trotting tour across Asia.
The 4 time Beatport top 10 artist is now poised and ready to take on the house underground with venom and guile. Already a key member of the Great Stuff stable, 2015 has also seen James commit his talents to Seamless Recordings via a killer collaboration with Barber and more recently the behemoth that is Bedrock, with 'Waking Giants’ - a trippy slice of atmospheric house genius, penned alongside studio partner Rory Gallagher, and a weapon that Digweed himself has been wielding to spin-out peak time floors for months. James' impressive remix discography continues to pick up pace too with a package-stealing rework of Swedish left-field pop artist, Karin Park, proving once more alongside remixes for Warner Bros (Fenech-Soler), Columbia (The Klaxons) and Nettwerk (Ghost Beach); that his ability to weave unique vocals into sheer club weaponry is second to none. Due out towards the end of the year, the mood-laden houser has already pricking up the ears of Him_Self_Her, Henry Saiz, Steve Lawler and Kris Davis and with a new European tour in the pipeline and interest from a slew of tastemaker labels for original material – 2017 is going to open with a veritable bang for Trystan. With many quality productions in the works and a massive Asia tour ahead, this year looks brilliant for Trystan
