Stenny (IT/Ilian Tape)
Rising in Turin and currently based in Munich, Stenny debuts with his first 12″ Solstice Deity on the Zenker Brothers label Ilian Tape in 2013, which later becomes one of the most respected techno labels in the world. Mainly inspired by the spirit of 90’s techno and IDM, his contribution as a producer could be described as club focused but not merely functional. The dusty and stepping drum programming, often contrasting with the dense, atmospheric surrounding, is one of the peculiarities of his style, which in fact, references often to the jungle or hardcore era, but basically aims to evolve with no genre boundaries. In 2019, he released his debut album Upsurge, one of the best electronic music albums of the year. As a DJ who now plays shows all around the globe, he maintains a similar, versatile and open minded approach, ranging between contemporary and classic but forward thinking club music.
Estera is a member of the Ljubljana-based collective/open platform Ustanova that regularly hosts intriguing names from contemporary electronic music scenes. As a DJ, she comprehensively explores various leftfield club and experimental sounds. She can play both house, bass and techno and faster genres like grime, dubstep and footwork. With a zeitgeisty approach to selection, Estera creates dynamic DJ sets with an accent on low frequencies and various rhythms.
Babilonska (HR/ZEZ Festival)
Nina Mašturko (Babilonska) is a Croatian DJ that mixes various club aesthetics in a concise and intriguing DJ sets, including everything between bass, breakbeat, beats, footwork and deconstructed post-club sounds. She often plays with dynamics and the (de)construction of rhythmic elements but without forgetting about the importance of humour and overly dramatic moments in the club. For the past six years, she has been active on Zagreb' independent music scene as the head of programme of ZEZ Festival and member of the collective/event series Subtilno, which is dedicated to heavy bass and high tempo genres.
Nulla b2b Dvidevat
These two young Slovenian DJs, one of the most harmonious and energetic DJ duos in Ljubljana, will be on closing duties at Channel Zero. Inspired by the Detroit electro heritage, Nulla and Dvidevat take you on merciless sonic trip through the underground. Their sets, including countless electro gems, obscure techno bangers and contemporary experimental club sounds, are marked by fast cuts and meticulous selections. Both of them also started producing lately, so expect some intergalactic breakbeat, techno and electro stompers from these two!
