in the Bad Room
Co-headline show at Good Room on December 5 with Scottish DJ Eclair Fifi making her Good Room debut and Montreal's Project Pablo returning to the club. Eclair Fifi is an artist and illustrator who started DJing at 16-years-old on pirate radio at InterFACE FM in London, and has since gone to host an In New DJs we Trust residency on BBC Radio 1, the LuckyMe show on Rinse FM and now her runs her own monthly show on NTS. Fifi’s peerless energy is in part due to her consummate knowledge and love of weird and rare music, traversing Techno, House, Latin Freestyle, Italo and RnB.
Project Pablo (Patrick Holland) is a musician and DJ who has released a wide array of records, spanning energy levels from bed time to peak time. While his long form efforts “I Want to Believe” and “Come to Canada You Will Like it” aim to soothe, the extended plays reveal clubbier euphoric elements; as heard through 2018’s “Hope You’re Well”, via Technicolour, and 2016’s “One For Some”, via Clone. Outside of solo endeavours, Holland co-pilots imprints ASL Singles Club and SOBO, all while collaborating with friends under the monikers Jump Source, Rest Corp and 2 Responsible.
Project Pablo and Eclair Fifi will be joined by Brooklyn's KFEELZ. DJ Qu headlines the Bad Room, playing alongside Good Room resident Kellam Matthews. The New Jersey based producer and DJ referred to himself as “the dancer’s DJ” in Resident Advisor’s 2009 feature on the US east coat house renaissance, a self-title honestly earned given his background as a world traveling house dancer through the 90’s and resident at New York’s esteemed HouseDanceConference. He’s been steadily reinforcing that description ever since, with a well-received run of rhythmic, dark, stripped-down productions for his Strength Music imprint launched in 2005 as well as having a rich output in both original and remix work for labels such as Rekids, Desolat and Mule Music.
