LIVE AGAIN @ D2
A night of live sonic excursions featuring:
~kleft (Domestic Exile)~
Scorn-flavoured techno / dubstep mutations from Glasgow. KLEFT aka Vickie McDonald is rooted in and has actively propagated the underground DIY radical queer punk and feminist movement in Glasgow. Their projects have included the skull crushing sludge doom of Cartilage, the unflinching and infamous multi- membered hard core stars that were DIVORCE and the sacrificial, druid drone glitch of MOURN. Alongside these projects they have uncompromisingly disrupted, motivated and facilitated collective endeavors to take down the capital power structure of the dominant system of patriarchal club venues and abhorrent fuckers in that town.
A/V set in collaboration with visual artist ~drymouth~
grime producer and mainstay of the underground scene in aberdeen. recent self released ep '𝓾𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓽𝓵𝓮𝓭 2018' has been tearing up radio studios across the country. 140 + on this one.
Golden Soaked Gabba. Music project of visual artist Karolina Bachanek. Her work spans experimental music, moving image and installation. Rooted in kitsch and punk aesthetic making reference to popular culture of the lowest grade. This punk aesthetic is reflected in her music productions whilst also incorporating elements from trance, techno and club.
Intertwined sound and performance crafted from the waste materials of post-industrial capital to manifest new archetypes and allegories for cultural phenomenon.
Often provocative in nature their work has taken place in a vast array of venues and public spaces with the set and setting of event often providing an axis for the piece itself. These spaces have included everywhere from Summerhall to abandoned supermarkets to the 2018 X-Factor auditions. Most recently they performed an 18 day run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as “Sawney Ha’peth’s Free Cringe Festival”, an exploration of the interplay between national identity and commodification which was subsequently shutdown due to “unsettling noise” and “cultural desecration”.
Along with their self-released material, selections of their work have been made available through various independent labels and compilations
long awaited live return of tuff wax co-founder.
