Lifeworld Invite: Binh & Moopie
A slight change of platform for this time round. We are giving two of the very best plenty of wiggle room to delve deep into their famed collections and take us on a proper trip.
Binh (Time Passages/Perlon):
A maestro of the obscure groove. The weaver of webs upon which we walk between the super sexy, and the weird and whacky. His label, Time Passages, and all it’s contributors, are spearheading a left-field sound which has enraptured discerning dance floors across the globe. Years of relentless digging and an artful knack for selection, which he has developed from many lengthy spells behind the controls at institutions such as Club Der Visionaire, Hoppetosse, and Robert Johnson, have earned him what one could describe as a very impressive reputation. We are certainly very excited to have him in Melbourne for the first time for an extended session.
Moopie (A Colourful Storm):
The guy who needs very little introduction around these parts; the modest support act who often can’t help but end up headlining. His label, A Colourful Storm, is a snippety insight of his seemingly endless reach into the nooks and crannies of dance (or non-dance) oriented music. We obviously can’t wait to see what approach he is going to take to 3 hours of heating up the floor.
Moops from the beginning, and Binh til the end.
I’d probably get down early for this one.
