With SLAM & Silicone Soul returning their Australian tour, they are thrown straight into the trenches with a line-up to rival any in Europe. Local support for the Sunday Circus crew.
Green Velvet a.k.a Curtis Jones has been producing and djing cutting edge house music for the best part of two decades. It has been a journey that has seen him become one of House music’s biggest and most established names and this iremains unlikely to change for many years. His journey led him to establish the legendary Cajul and Relief labels selling thousands of records all over the world, not to mention the misunderstood dance anthem of ‘La la Land’. Nowadays he is a devote Christian and his most recent works are there to represent a link between his strong beliefs and the creative house beats he produces.
Robert Hood needs little introduction. Founding member of the legendary Detroit group Underground Resistance as a 'Minister Of Information' with ‘Mad’ Mike Banks & Jeff Mills, his seminal works on Jeff Mill's Axis and his very own M-Plant imprint (not forgetting releases on Tresor, Cheap, Peacefrog, Music Man etc), not only paved the way for a wave of stripped-down dance floor minimalism that directed much of techno's path throughout the late Nineties, but continues to influence to this day.
Robert Hood continues the M-Plant mission with this brand new two-track release: ‘Obey / Resurrection’. Both tracks display Hood’s continued experimentations with a minimal sound he has been exploring and developing since the early Nineties. The toughest beats, relentless grooves and an incredible ability to still invoke “the funk” behind something so stripped down and forged from the machines that are the tools of his trade.
Based in Madrid, this producer is the ‘CMYK’ label manager. He is also one of the men behind ‘Apnea’ and ‘Bemysheep’, and one of the founders of Net28 (the net behind these labels and others like ‘Cyclical Tracks’ and ‘Pulpa’). Following two very successful 12"s, one EP and one full length album on Trapez, plus several 12"s on his own label CMYK, Madrid's Alex Under has become one of the most sought after techno artists in Spain.
Alex Under confirmed himself as the new reality of the best international techno, sometimes being minimal and deep, sometimes hard and aggressive, but always original. He creates a sonic collage combining techno, trance and house elements while he constructs complex rhythms that arise from the dance floor taking the listeners to a higher level where emotions, depth, mind & body blend in a unique equation.
Raresh, only 23 years old, is the best Romanian DJ with a huge international fame. Each week brings him at least two round-trip flights to corners of the world: Frankfurt, London, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Ibiza, Rome, Florence, Berlin, Madrid and the list may continue. He is part of the Cocoon Booking roster. The young artist was invited to play at the most famous world clubs and festivals: Timewarp, Sonne Mond Sterne, Nature One, and Love Parade. Together with his friends Rhadoo and Pedro he founded in 2007 the Romanian electronic music label called [a:rpia:r].
More than ten years of experience has created Tadeo as an artist. With the meticulousness of an erudite he has been experimenting, investigating and developing his sound on the dance floors and in the studio, and now he is an established dj and producer, label manager of Cyclical Tracks, NET28 founder, and member of the most interesting label family from Spain: CMYKmusik, Apnea and Mupa.
His concept of music goes beyond the standard and offers a unique experience full of personality, driven by passion and dedication, redefining languages and ideas. That’s his peculiar way of understanding techno; he conceives it as something dark, well arranged, powerful, solid and dark.
