ニューヨークで起こるダンスミュージックの進化は、ディスコサウンドへ多大な影響を常に与えてきた。この街の持つ奔放なエネルギーと深夜の生息者たちが時代ごとに新たな輝かしいグルーヴスタイルでディスコを打ち出してきたからだ。その文化をまさに体現しているのがEric Duncan。さまざまな名義とコラボレーションで生み出されている圧巻の作品群では、そうした問答無用の魅力を放つグルーヴを踏まえた未来のスタイルが提示されている。

Eric Duncan is a true embodiment of this culture, having built up a formidable body of work in various guises and collaborations, all centered around modern extrapolations of that irresistible groove.
He’s carved out a celebrated catalogue of edits and productions as Dr. Dunks, but he’s perhaps best known for his work as Rub N Tug alongside Thomas Bullock – their remix accolades reach from the international pop music elite to the deepest underground acts, while their seminal Campfire mix in 2005 cemented their reputation as impeccable selectors in the tradition laid out by Mancuso, Levan, Siano and the other NYC greats.
