WOS takes place each September in over ten selected indoor locations throughout the city of Santiago de Compostela, all of them within a walking distance from the Cathedral in the old town quarters, declared World Heritage Site. Its locations include two theaters, two museums, a farmer's market, an art gallery, two concert halls, a 18th century church, an urban palace's terrace and an independent movie theater among other spaces intended to create unique experiences for selected audiences. The festival's experience renders a true touristic, architectural and artistic route through the city. The programming consists of near 50 activities and the audience is only about 1000 people/day. WOS has been selected as the best indoor festival of 2018 at the European Festival Awards and as the best national touristic promotion festival of 2018 at the Iberian Festival Awards.
