For Q2, New Business invites techno mavens Simian Mobile Disco to celebrate the launch of their new album, Murmurations (out via Wichita Records on 11th May). Named after giant cloud formations of starlings, the record is a collaboration with Hackney-based vocal collective The Deep Throat Choir, as well as creative directors Kazim Rashid of ENDLESSLOVESHOW (Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawk) and Carri Munden. Following a sell-out live show at the Barbican on April 4, New Business welcomes the duo for a special 3-hour DJ set; a rare chance to catch one of the UK’s premier electronic acts close-up and personal.
Also joining will be Philadelphian selector, DJ, radio extraordinaire and warrior of the night, Dave P. As one half of New York’s long-standing Fixed party, as well as running Making Time in his native Philly, Dave is restless in his quest for futuristic sounds and dancefloor transcendence.
