『意識深くへ潜り込む祝祭第二夜』

その扉を開いて早2年。オルタナティブなクラブの在り方を東京のシーンに提供してきたContactが、そのエネルギーを体現する音楽とともに2夜に渡ってアニバーサリーパーティを開催！
アニバーサリーも同様、オープン当初からContactの個性を形成してきた「クオリティ」を第一に掲げ、アーティストを厳選することで各自のセットをじっくりと味わえる環境をセッティング。もちろん、Contactのレジデント勢や縁のあるローカルDJたちもフィーチャーする。

祝祭の週末第二夜は、果敢な創造を繰り返し数々の伝説を生み出してきたアーティストたちをStudio Xフロアへ招き、テクノとハウスの両面からダンスフロアを盛り上げる。
テクノを担当するのは、現代のアメリカ人テクノアーティストの中で最も信頼のおける人物であろうDVS1だ。疾走する鋼鉄サウンドをベルリン特有の圧巻のビートに乗せて提示しつつ、アメリカ中西部のパーティシーンで培ったハードなバイブスを同時に感じさせてくれるに違いない。そんな彼と見事な対比を成すのが、ドイツから参加するMove Dだ。90年代から繊細なエレクトロニカや洗練された細やかなディープハウスを通じてエレクトロニックミュージックシーンを歩んできた彼。近年では、ディスコ要素を含んだぬくもりを感じさせるトラックの選曲や、機材を駆使した実験的なアプローチに取り組んでいるMove Dは、この夜もテクノとハウスの中核に潜むソウルをフロアへ解き放ってくれるだろう。そしてこの二人を相手に、人気テクノパーティKonvektionでお馴染みのYaziがどんなセットを披露するのか要注目だ。
Contactフロアには自在のグルーヴコントロールに定評のあるKabutoが出演。テクノ~ハウス~エレクトロに実験的な要素を注入した彼ならではのセットに期待がかかる。Rainbow Disco Clubを中心に酔狂の夜を演出しているSisiや、自身のパーティQualiaを始動したばかりのQmicoの参加も見逃せない。

Two years after it first opened its doors and offered a fresh alternative to the clubbing landscape in Tokyo, Contact is celebrating its birthday with a weekend of music that captures the energy of the venue perfectly.

The primary focus of these parties will be to uphold the quality that has shaped out Contact since the beginning, inviting a select few artists and giving them extended sets for a deeper, more meaningful experience, supported by the consistent presence of the residents and locally rooted Contact family.

On the second night of the anniversary weekend, the Studio X floor will spread itself between techno and house music featuring a range of adventurous artists with strong legacies behind them.

DVS1 is perhaps the definitive modern US techno artist, presenting a driving, steely sound that aligns with the dominant Berlin pulse while equally carrying the torch for his roots in the American Midwest party scene. His selections on the night will no doubt contrast with those of Germany’s Move D, whose life in electronic music reaches back to the 90s via delicate electronica and subtle, refined deep house. Nowadays he’s just as likely to roll out warm, disco-infused tracks as much as mechanical experimentations, finding the soul at the heart of techno and house music and opening it up to the room. Representing the local scene is Yazi, a resident at the highly regarded techno night Konvektion.

The Contact floor will feature Kabuto, a former resident of Future Terror and Cabaret. You can expect left-leaning techno excursions from the respected Tokyo DJ, who will be joined by the new Qualia night founder Qmico as well as Sisi, a DJ guaranteed to create intoxicating experience that helped him make a household name as a Rainbow Disco Club resident.
