★ S.A.S.H by Day ★
For this week’s edition of SASH by Day we head to Sunday’s Church with what we feel is a very strong lineup of Sydney’s local talent: One of the standout mixes we’ve received from a newbie this year, Rubric opens the day, with Cassette taking the afternoon slot. Our resident Kerry Wallace is on for dinner, and this weeks headliner and Subsonic Music co-captain Marcotix winds up the day.
★ Marcotix ★
Creative musical mastermind. Subsonic Music director. Event producer extraordinaire. Marcotix is known for expertly crafting musical forcefields that put anyone who enters them under his spell. Spreading his well-travelled wisdom through his extensive techno collection, as well as his vast selection of global sounds, it’s a given that Marcotix will take whichever dance-floor he captains for one heck of a ride…

★ S.A.S.H by Night ★
Every now and then we like to go all out and this Sunday night is no different. Hosting a chocka-block, absolutely stacked, lineup of the underground’s future stars, The Terrace is in for a belting. One of the minds behind Body Parts (and member of ody-arts) Olga Korol hits Sydney for the first time at S.A.S.H in the red room, starting the night with her unique minimal sound. Amsterdam and VBX’s Ferro is up next, also for the first time in Sydney. Last but not least, Yoyaku’s Varhat gears up for last set of the night, taking us well into Monday morning…
In the den we host another couple of experienced Sydney selectors. For the first three hours we welcome back the deep connoisseur DJ Apache (James Cripps) for his first time in the new blue room booth. Also returning to S.A.S.H we welcome back RifRaf for the latter 3 hours.
★ Varhat ★
French producer Varhat has been creating music for many years and has become illustrious in recent times due to his painstaking dedication to crafting sound. Varhat has built up a very technical skill set and incorporating modulars and various analogue systems enables him to experiment and generate new ideas at will. Last year when we hosted the French super-talent, he blew the place apart, we can’t wait to have him back in our favourite red room, this time on closing duties.
★ Ferro ★
Ferro’s sound comes caked in a vintage dust, sounding as though his beats have been maturing in a draw before being unleashed on the world. They are percussive while organic, warm and inviting. It is Ferro’s lasting goal to make all of his music using genuine hardware and fully analogue tools. The VBX resident is coming down under for his first Aus Tour, and we are ecstatic to host him in in The Terrace.
★ @Olga Korol ★
From an early age Olga Korol has had a distinct connection and curiosity with music, in particular with musical patterns and their intricate melodic properties. Growing up in the Ukraine in Odessa her attentions were diverted to a number of musical scenes as varied as grunge and trip hop, which eventually lead to electronic music, where she began to attend local parties and collect vinyls records with this new electronic sound she discovered. It wouldn't be long before she realized that she really desired to be on the other side of the DJ booth. Her DJ career began in earnest and over the following years she started playing at major venues across Ukraine, establishing her name and her sound of minimal techno. It was not long before the attentions of the now infamous Kazantip Festival found their way to Olga's music and invited her to come play for them on numerous occasions. Now, she is on her way to S.A.S.H, opening The Terrace.
