Greek-born, Amsterdam-based Pablo Diskko is widely recognised for his unrelenting and hypnotizing sets, fluidly merging everything from mutant techno, obscure house, acid, to left field experimental, and rare disco.
Over the last eight years, Pablo has shared the booth with talent such as Interstellar Funk, Florian Kupfer, Steffi, pioneers Juan Atkins and Robert Hood, Veronica Vasicka of Minimal Wave, Tim Sweeney, Vakula, Das Ding, Dollkraut, Tama Sumo and many more. This great variety of artists describes his personal taste, as well as the musical range of his DJ sets.
From noted clubs like RADION and OT301 to Red Light Radio, art spaces such as Berlin’s Echo Bücher, and at events like Reworks Festival, Plisskën Festival and Athens International Film Festival, Pablo Diskko always summons the crowd to the dance-floor. As one of the faces behind HIS DARK Elements, a collective organising
events in locations around Amsterdam (and recently Berlin), he has gained a comprehensive understanding of the many ways in which electronic music is practised.
In his time Pablo has amassed a number of releases on vinyl and cassette such as the daunting “Electronic Humming” on the Snuff Trax sub-label In The Dark Again in March 2019. His latest EP ‘These Robots Are Here To Help’ landed on DISSOLUTE, to much acclaim, and has featured on distinguished platforms such as NTS Radio, IFM and DJ MAG Japan.
Certainly the turbulent winds surrounding Pablo won’t die down any time soon. With a compelling amount of alluring new music ready to hit the shelves and upcoming gigs in yet to be discovered parts of Europe the Pablo Diskko era is just kicking off.
