It's times like this where we celebrate coming together - sharing a vibe and a groove and making the absolute best of any given night. Well, this night is Wednesday...and these two fine souls are about to drop it on ya.
It ain't easy putting DEL into words. Firstly, we believe he encompasses all that is true and good and real about djs and dance music. As a staff reviewer for 5 Magazine and co-conspirator of the mighty-excellent Do Wanna Boogie? parties, it's obvious others hold him in high regard as well.
But, the complete fullness of DEL is experienced in person. His sets are informative, inspirational, and downright shit-giggling FUN. We could say more about him here, but seriously though, come see him tear it up.
Friend of the Brooklyn Shakedown, Dexter Lawrence is no stranger to soul music. He's been holding down and building up to Saturday nights (ahem, the Soul Sessions to be exact) at Cafe Noir in SoHo for over a year now. Saturday's top billing for a Manhattan residency and Cafe Noir (Brooklynites might like to know they run the always tasty Bar Tabac as well) has seen the likes of Liondub, Sid Vaga, Patafunk, and Wiseacre fill the halls with beautiful music, too.
Great company.
It's May friends...we're sprouting freshness over here. SOUL is the safeword.
See you on the dancefloor.
