Shifted
2011 has seen Shifted rise swiftly from the murky shadows of UK Techno. Little is known of who the producer is, but rest assured of his credentials. His first of two EPs on Luke Slater's esteemed Mote Evolver imprint instantly grabbed the attention of the techno community. This year he released his debut LP on Mote Evolver titled "Crossed Paths" which made a large impact along with his steady releases on his own label Avian. With three quality releases, Avian has been proving to be a quality stable for its artists; Ventress, Shifted, and Sigha.

Shifted's detailed, rhythmic compositions and texture capture the attention of the most discerning ears.

His growing remix demand has led to reworks of UK Techno legends The Black Dog as well as peers Sigha and Cio D'Or amongst others. The future is bright for Shifted and we are proud to welcome him to NYC for the fourth edition of Tar and Feathered.

DJ QU
Now known primarily as a DJ, QU made his start in the dance music world through dancing. Traveling the world as a dancer for a variety of artists, and then going on to teach classes and workshops alongside his mentor Brian "Footwork" Green and friend Joey Anderson on house dancing. QU's groove heavy, warm, forward thinking DJ sets are a listening experience respected worldwide for their level of depth and focus on you, the listener.

QU's widely received "Gymnastics" LP released on his Strength Music is a great collection of the forward moving, full of warmth, distinct production sound he is well respected for. The man is a powerhouse in the studio, turning out amazing remixes and truly unique original material. Recently released is his track "Times Like These" as the debut record on Anthony Parasole's label The Corner. We are very honored to have DJ QU as our guest for this installation of Tar and Feathered.
